Safety Precautions

  • Install and maintain smoke detectors (change batteries when the time changes)

  • Keep clutter away from the exit routes

  • Properly store flammable materials

  • Safely use heating devices as manufacturers recommend

  • Secure guns away from children


Training and Education

NUCFD offers several different training classes to District residents & businesses. Many classes require that the student purchase a textbook and/or pay a small administrative fee for certification. Classes offered include:

  • CPR for Family & Friends

  • Heartsaver CPR

  • Heartsaver AED

  • Heartsaver First Aid

  • BLS for Healthcare Providers

  • Fire extinguisher training.


Safety Store

As a public service, NUCFD offers several safety-related items for sale to District Residents. To obtain these items, please call or stop by the station during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM).

  • $10 Reflective Address Signs (Money goes to the NUCFD association)
