Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic

The Northern Union County Fire and EMS District (NUCFD) is accepting applications for the position of Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic. NUCFD responds to an average of 800 calls for service year. Our district is 73.9 square miles and has a population of 4700 and growing.

Job openings: 1 Full-time Firefighter/Paramedic positions are in need to be filled. 

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, vacation and sick leave, holiday pay, and Ohio Police & Fire retirement benefits. Medical insurance premium is 100% paid, for single person coverage.

Salary Package: $49,248- $63,837.72 per year based on 56 hours/week, OT, & paid holidays

Applicants must possess the following:

1.Valid Ohio Driver’s License

2.Valid Ohio Paramedic Certification

3.Valid CPR and ACLS Certifications

4.Valid Ohio Firefighter II Certification

Successful candidates will be required to:

1.Successfully pass a basic Firefighter/EMT knowledge exam

2.Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening examination and Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund physical

3.Successfully pass a criminal background check

4.Have the ability to be insured by the Districts insurance provider
